Hearings today (2 October): Hogan, Moscovici, Bieńkowska, Georgieva and Vestager
Phil Hogan, Pierre Moscovici, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Kristalina Georgieva and Margrethe Vestager are the next candidate commissioners to appear at the European Parliament for three-hour long interviews. Today, 2 October, the following hearings take place (all times are CET):
Phil Hogan, the Irish nominee for agriculture and rural development, will be heard by the agricultural committee from 9h. Watch it live here and follow the commitee tweets.
France's Pierre Moscovici is commissioner-designate for economic and financial affairs. He will be questioned by the economic and monetary affairs committee from 9h. Watch it live here and follow live tweets from the committee.
Elżbieta Bieńkowska, from Poland, has been assigned the portfolio for the internal market, industry, entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises. Bulgarian Kristalina Georgieva will face the budget and legal affairs committees over her proposed portfolio for budget and human resources from 13h30. Watch the hearing live and follow live tweets from the committees.
