On the 1st November 2012 the UN Human Rights Council will examine the human rights record of Sri Lanka

Thursday 11 October 2012

On 4th August 2006, 17 ACF workers were lined up and executed in their office in Sri Lanka. To this
day no one has been charged and the Sri Lankan government has constantly prevented any full and independent investigation into the incident. ACF has campaigned for such an investigation since 2006 without success.
On the 1st November 2012 the UN Human Rights Council will examine the human rights record of Sri
Lanka. Therefore ACF is mounting a full on campaign to ensure the UNHRC addresses the massacre and launches a full and independent investigation. It goes without saying that such impunity has wider implications for humanitarian
works and humanitarian space.
