Kazakhstan, Austria set to launch direct flights next spring
Kazakhstan and Austria are set to launch direct flights in spring 2025, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Transport. During the 9th session of the Kazakhstan-Austria Business Council, a delegation of Kazakhstan led by Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastayev, Vice President of SKAT Airline Vladimir Sytnik and representatives of the Kazakh Embassy in Vienna, had a meeting with State Secretary for Tourism of Austria Susanne Kraus-Winkler and CEO of Vienna Airport Julian Jäger. The sides discussed the issues of launching direct flights between Kazakhstan and Austria, slated by SCAT for next spring. The flights will be operated two times a week. The meeting also touched upon visa and tourism related issues.
