Château Magneau wine: The Impressionists' floral canvas

For those who admire the paintings of French impressionists the fragrant and refined white wines of the Château Magneau are true serendipity. The Ardurats family has passed the secrets of their chef-d’oevre from one generation to the next since the XVII century.

"We have always respected nature," said Bruno Ardurats. "In spring, one can't help but enjoy the blossom of the flowers we plant in between the rows of grapevines (vitis); it is the philosophy of Terra Vitis that we share - to observe and respect nature is crucial."

Although the Ardurats brothers run their business with strict respect for the family tradition, each generation brings its own addition to the creations. Jean-Louis and Bruno have brought theirs with their mastering of the modern technology of wine production, together with their organic approach to their vineyards.

In autumn, while tasting a glass of the Chateau Magneau Blanc, one can certainly enjoy the presence of its flowery notes: "The Cuvée Julien gives the wine a touch of a ‘grilled’ note," Bruno adds. "The fragrance is reminiscent of pears and white fruit with ‘smoky’ tones’." Bruno agrees that vocabulary when it comes to describing wines is quite limited - as with narrations on paintings and music, how to express in words the sensation of his juices? It is possible only with poetry.

However, Jean-Louis is humble while explaining the characteristics of Chateau Magneau's reds and whites that are covered with prestigious diplomas. But which is the best?

Bruno suggests that the elegance of the Chateau Magneau Cuvée Julien reflects most the soul of the mansion and its ‘terroire’.

The awards presented to Ardurat’s wine are numerous: Paris, ‘Mondial de Bruxells’, Vignrons Indépendants (Independent wine producers), Concours d’Aquitane, Concours de Macon, Concours Terra Vitis plus numerous tourist guides.

In conclusion, one can say with confidence that a sophisticated wine lover cannot remain unaware of the Chateau Magneau masterpieces, because the Ardurats are the Claude Monet of wine-creators.
