Ireland has greatest proportion of large family households in Europe

Ireland has a greater proportion of households with three or more children under 18 than anywhere else in Europe.

New figures from the Dublin-based Eurofound agency show that at seven per cent, that’s more than double the EU average.

Grace Bolton of the European Commission office in Dublin says countries in southern Europe have the lowest proportion.
