Julian Assange’s father seeks Council of Europe support

The father of Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, is in Strasbourg to seek a new look at his son’s arrest and possible extradition. Assange was forced out of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he had been able to avoid arrest. The United States still wants to extradite him and his health is said to be diminishing. His father, John Skipton, has been meeting parliamentarians at the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly, where he was interviewed by Jim Gibbons…
