Vice President Schinas travels to Vietnam to foster EU-Vietnam cooperation on green growth and education

On Monday (21 October), Vice President for promoting our European way of Life, Margaritis Schinas (pictured) was in Ho Chi Minh to deliver a keynote speech at the opening session of the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition 2024, an event hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. The Forum aims to facilitate dialogue on green growth between businesses and government, bringing together key stakeholders from the EU and Vietnam. This year's edition focused on building partnerships on green futures. The Vice-President will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Bui Tanh Son, in the margins of the Forum.
Today (22 October), Vice-President Schinas will be in Hanoi to deliver opening remarks at the Erasmus+ Day flagship event jointly organised by the EU Delegation to Vietnam and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, as part of the European Higher Education Week 2024. Later, the Vice-President will hold bilateral meetings with the Deputy Minister of education and training, Nguyen Kim Son and the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social affairs, Dao Ngoc Dung.
On Wednesday (23 October), Vice-President Schinas will visit the WARM facility project, building green and urban resilience in the province of Hoa Binh. He will also participate in the ceremonial signing with the World Vision and the Vietnamese Red Cross, showcasing the EU humanitarian support to relief victims of typhon Yagi in Vietnam.
