Russia today has become a front runner in current politics. Even Washington is absolutely unable to curb its former Cold War rival. No sanctions, no strict measures, no angry faces in Congress are capable to force this Soviet remnant to obey to a steel voice of a master. No way, writes Moscow Correspondent Alex Ivanov. If someone multiplies this poor scene on the global pandemic the result will be much more grave and troubling. Are we close to the edge?
And once again everybody in the main capitals looks at Russia. This country is not affected as badly as others with the new virus, the number of sick people and deaths is very low.
Russia is sending medical and human relief supplies by plane to many countries, including the USA. Some are upset and feel uneasy with this state of affairs, thinking it might undermine NATO solidarity and shake the firm consensus against Russia.
No comment! The world is in turmoil. Even the solid cornerstones of the global hegemony, like the USA, are passing through terrible challenges which may have unpredictable consequences.
This very moment makes it possible to change the world political landscape drastically. What was once almost impossible becomes a reality nowadays.
One should rethink the current state of affairs 100%. No one can claim that Russia is somewhere outside of the general rules and stands separate from other nations.
Nevertheless, we must acknowledge that Russia, even in its current situation, with all its irregularities and odditied tries to act as a responsible and honest player at the world arena, taking in respect the hardships and horrific agenda of today.
