Debate on banking union and deposit guarantee

On 15 April from 8h30 MEPs will debate the laws about to be established to ensure that taxpayers do not systematically shoulder the losses of banks. Votes will be taken just afterwards adopting two texts to handle banks in trouble and one which ensures that banks themselves are providing the guarantee to depositors that deposits under €100,000 will be paid to them in all events.
