The European Commission is developing a comprehensive European Internal Security Strategy to ensure the EU is equipped to combat all threats, both online and offline. This initiative will mainstream security into EU legislation and policies, outlining key objectives and actions needed to tackle security threats in the coming years.

As part of a wider consultation, the Commission is inviting citizens, organizations, and stakeholders to share their views on the future of security in the EU. The consultation will run until 13 March 2025 and aims to gather feedback on the current state of security in the EU and identify key priorities for the future.

The input provided will set the direction for the EU's internal security policy, anticipating and countering threats from organised crime and terrorism, as well as other threats.

People can provide feedback in any of the 24 official EU languages. The Commission will analyse the input received and make it available in a report, allowing citizens to see how their feedback contributes to the upcoming initiatives related to security.
