Trade MEPs to debate TTIP transparency with Commissioner Malmström
The transparency of the EU’s Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) talks with the USA, the EU’s vision for these talks after changes in political players on both sides of the Atlantic and other EU trade-policy issues will be debated with Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström (pictured) in the International Trade Committee today (3 December) at 15h.
This will be Malmström’s first visit to Parliament’s International Trade Committee since she was confirmed in office. MEPs are likely to ask for her views on the promised 'fresh start' in the TTIP talks, further details of the TTIP „transparency initiative” announced by the EU Commission last week and also her thoughts on other trade issues on the EU agenda.
