Anti-corruption group approved in Parliament: 'This is a concrete step in fighting corruption'
On 11 December, the European Parliament’s Conference of Presidents have decided to approve the creation of the Intergroup On Integrity: Transparency, Anti-corruption and Organized Crime that will addresses issues over the next five years.
“This is a concrete step in fighting corruption all across Europe,” said Franco La Torre Libera, an Italian association against the Mafia and organized crime. “With the European campaign against corruption and with the support of hundreds of thousands of European citizens, we ask to MEPs who took the pledge with us to work on these commitments.”
