Taipei City wins design award
Taipei City won an iF Communication Design Award in Germany, with its submissions of a seven-minute film, which showcases the capital's competitiveness, and a book that shows its contemporary designs, the city's cultural department announced on 19 February. The two submissions, along with other award-winning products, will be displayed in an online exhibition later this month and at an iF design exhibition in Hamburg in March.
Established in 1953 in Germany, the iF design award is one of the most prestigious in the world of design. This award is Taipei's third such recognition in less than a year, after winning the 2016 World Design Capital designation and a Red Dot Design communication design award in 2013.
