Martin Schulz on Polish presidential elections
European Parliament President Martin Sculz said: “I congratulate Andrzej Duda (pictured) on his election victory (24 May).
"Poland-EU relations are a cornerstone of Poland’s recent success story. I look forward to working with President Duda and hearing his ideas and plans on how to advance the EU project to the mutual benefit of Poland and its European partners.
"I also pay tribute to Bronisław Komorowski for his statesmanship and relentless engagement in the advancement of the EU project throughout his presidency.”
