In 2023, 4.1 women out of every million women were victims of intentional homicide, by family members or intimate partners, in the EU, nearly double the rate for men at 2.2 per million men.

Between 2015 and 2023, the intentional homicide rate for women in this intimate context in the EU fluctuated between 3.9 per million women in 2019, the lowest value, and 4.4 in 2022, the highest in this period.
