Putin ally suggests confiscating property of Russian war critics

Russian President Vladimir Putin's close ally suggested on Friday (13 January) confiscating assets and property of Russians who oppose war in Ukraine and discredit Russia's armed forces.

Vyacheslav Volodin (speaker of the Russian Duma) said that current measures such as fines for people who criticize what Moscow calls "special military operations" in Ukraine were not sufficient.
