Russia plans a prolonged campaign of attacks against Iran drones to "exhaust Ukraine," President Volodymyr Zilenskiy said on Monday (2 January).

Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address that he has information suggesting Russia plans a long-term attack with Shahed drones. "It is likely banking on exhaustion. Exhausting our people, our anti-aircraft defences, our energy."

He said that Ukraine had to "act and accomplish everything" so terrorists fail in their goal, just as all of their other attempts.
