GMB National Officer for Engineering Construction Phil Whitehurst said: "This project is a very welcome boost for the Welsh economy. It opens up a way forward to generate green and renewable energy using reliable tidal power.

"It is good news for Pembrokeshire and Welsh labour force and for the supply chain. It is also good news for the UK engineering construction industry as a whole."
