Taiwan-Netherlands co-operation renewed - Taiwanese films at the Berlin Film Festival

taiwanOn 8 January, Representative Lee of the Taipei Representative Office in the Netherlands and Director Hsu of the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the EU & Belgium, visited the President of Utrecht University, Marjan Oudeman, to review the Honorary Summer School Programme and to discuss the future development of educational exchanges between universities in Taiwan and the Netherlands. Director Hsu was delighted to learn of a planned expansion and expressed her commitment to facilitate the coordination of future participation and support for Taiwan’s universities.

Berlin Film Festival

Four films from Taiwan will be screened at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival - running from 6-16 February - including well-known director Tsai Ming-liang's new film Journey to the West. It will be joined by director Cho Li's The Rice Bomber and director Midi Z's Ice Poison. These three films will all be celebrating their world premieres at the festival. In addition, Chen Yu-hsun's comedy Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast will have its European premiere in the festival's Culinary Cinema programme.
