beia_romaniaThe EU-Romania Business Society has announced the launch of their operations in Brussels. The organization will campaign for greater business development and market-opening investment between Romania and her EU partners, writes James Wilson.

The Society has registered with the European Commission’s transparency initiative and is based in Brussels. It will work with business, investors, European institutions, governments, MEPs and members to promote trade and investment between Romania, the Danube Region and the rest of Europe.

The EU-Romania Business Society will advocate for conditions fostering business, investment and strong social and economic development and will champion close co-operation and the exchange of opportunities and ideas between Romania, the countries of the Danube Region and Romania’s European partners.

Planned activities for the year ahead include round table discussions and  seminars, networking events, reports and analysis on Romania’s business  environment and trade relations, outreach to political audiences to  promote favourable business conditions and media activity to promote the EU’s Danube Strategy and business and investment opportunities in Romania.

The society is actively campaigning to recruit new members who share the organization's ambitions.  Today (5 August) also sees the launch of the society's website which can be found here.
