Live: Workshop on Europe’s digital single market
Intrigued by innovations such as wearable computers and controlling computers by waving your hands? Creating a digital single market could benefit Europe’s high-tech businesses, as they could directly access half a billion consumers and be able to better compete in the global market for such ground-breaking devices. At a workshop organised by the European Parliament's internal market committee on Thursday 13 November, MEPs and experts will look at ways how to achieve this. Follow the workshop online live.
Starting at 15h CET, the workshop will look at current information and communications technology market trends, delve into some of the best examples of e-services in the public sector and discuss issues of net neutrality and cyber security.
It will also include a presentation of emerging new products such as Vuzix Glass (smart glasses), Leap Motion (lets you control your computer using gestures) and the Oculus Rift (virtual reality headset that would allow you for example to experience a roller-coaster ride while being at home).
