Schulz to pay official visit to Iran
On Saturday (7 November) European Parliament President Martin Schulz will travel to Iran to intensify the dialogue between the EU and Iran. It marks the first visit to Iran of a President of an EU institution.
On Saturday morning President Schulz will meet the Speaker of the Parliament H.E. Dr. Ali Larijani followed by a joint press conference.
President Schulz will also meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Schulz will have a bilateral meeting with President H.E. Hassan Rohani at the Presidential Palace.
During his one-day visit, President Schulz will also meet with representatives of civil society.
