#EUTopJobs - European Council President #DonaldTusk nominates four candidates to lead #EUInstitutions

As of 19h05 on 2 July 2019, European Council President Donald Tusk brought an end to nearly three full days of inter-institutional wrangling in Brussels and the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, by naming the official candidates for European Commission president, European Council President, European Central Bank president and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, writes James Drew.
The candidates are:
European Commission President - Ursula von der Leyen, Germany, first female Commission president.
European Council President - Charles Michel, Belgium
European Central Bank (ECB) President - Christine Lagarde, France
High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy - Josep Borrell Fontelles, Spain
