Von der Leyen calls for predictably and stability for fisheries in UK deal
Addressing the European Parliament, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that the issue of fisheries is still very difficult.
The EU says that it does not want to question the UK sovereignty of its own waters, but needs predictability and stability for its fishermen and fisherwomen.
While Von der Leyen said that it sometimes feels that we will not be able to resolve this question, the EU had to try finding a solution, saying “it is the only responsible and right course of action.”
