Taiwan, Japan, and the US co-hosted the sixth annual Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) Joint Committee in Taipei City, December 15, reviewing the accomplishments from this year’s GCTF activities and exchanging views on the priority areas for cooperation in 2021.

In a joint statement, all three like-minded partners pledged to continue expanding cooperation with other collaborators and push for the institutionalisation of the GCTF going forward. Moreover, the group announced its intention to, over the course of the coming year, host workshops on the areas of public health, law enforcement, disaster prevention and mitigation, renewable energy, and workforce and artificial intelligence.

Another notable announcement was that of the launch of an official GCTF website, which provides information about the GCTF and will, looking forward, serve as a platform for all participants to connect with each other after events.
