Conference of Presidents meets to discuss new Commission President

The Conference of Presidents, consisting of the political group leaders and the European Parliament president, met on 27 May to discuss the next Commission President, who will need the Parliament’s approval in order to take up the post. The meeting came ahead of an informal dinner of EU heads of state and government later in the day.
