Commissioner Simson in New Delhi to boost EU-India co-operation on renewable energy
Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson, was in New Delhi, India on Wednesday and Thursday, 7-8 September, to strengthen the EU's cooperation with the country in the field of renewable energy. On Wednesday (7 September), Commissioner Simson took part in an event on EU-India cooperation in the area of solar energy with Inidia's Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy and Chemical and Fertilizer, Bhagwath Khuba. She will also hold bilateral meetings with the Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi; and the Director General of International Solar Alliance, Ajay Mathur. On Thursday (8 September), the commissioner chaired the EU-India Green Hydrogen Forum, where she will deliver a keynote address, with the Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy, Raj Kumar Singh. After the event, they will have a bilateral meeting.
