Irish are the most enthusiastic about EU membership
Irish people continue to be the most enthusiastic about EU membership.
A new Eurobarometer Report shows that 63 per cent of Irish people have a positive image of the EU.
The EU average is 42 per cent with the share lowest in Greece and the Czech Republic at 31 per cent.
Tim Hayes of the European Commission office in Dublin says Irish people fully understand the benefits of being in the European Union.
