EU ministers recommended to take a tougher stance on China
European Union ministers were advised to be tougher on China ahead of negotiations on revising Brussels’ strategy towards Beijing, the Financial Times reported Monday (17 October).
According to a paper prepared by the bloc's foreign services and seen by the FT, the union should cooperate closely with the United States, strengthen cyber defence and diversify its supply chains away from China.
The paper stated that China has "become an even stronger global competitor to the EU, the US, and other like-minded partner countries".
