Azerbaijan stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine
The EU has not been alone in stepping up to the plate. President Zelenskyy thanked Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev for his country’s assistance.
The Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has ordered State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) to provide fuel for ambulances and SES free of charge. In addition Azerbaijan is supplying humanitarian aid.
Azerbaijan has already sent humanitarian aid in the form of medicines and medical equipment. A plane full of these provisions arrived in Ukraine yesterday. Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan thanked Azerbaijan: “We truly thank friendly Azerbaijan for the practical support of Ukraine!”
