Solidarity and fairness in focus at European Youth Week
European Youth Week 2026 takes place from 24 April to 1 May 2026. This year’s edition is dedicated to solidarity and fairness as we celebrate 30 years of volunteering in Europe. An exhibition will showcase Europeans who have made a meaningful difference in society.
The Commission organises European Youth Week every two years to celebrate and promote youth engagement, participation and active citizenship in Europe and beyond. The week will kick off in Brussels with an event co-organized by the European Commission and the European Parliament. Over 1,000 participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and views during a full day of activities.
Throughout the week, a wide range of events, discussions and activities will take place across Europe, bringing together young people, stakeholders and policymakers to engage on key topics and share perspectives.
Supporting young people remains a key priority for the Commission, with various EU initiatives offering young people funded opportunities such as youth exchanges, volunteering, study, work, travel, or participation in democratic processes in the EU.
