European Commission
New call worth €96.6 million for doctoral training and postdoctoral fellowship programmes thanks to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
The Commission opened a new call of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions' (MSCA) co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND). With a budget of €96.6 million, this call will co-finance doctoral training programmes and post-doctoral fellowship programmes of outstanding quality. Through MSCA COFUND, any kind of organization, including universities, research centres, companies, or regional or national authorities can receive funding to develop and support their own training programmes, which can have a regional, national or international component, to attract international talent and increase their research and innovation capacities.
Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Commissioner Iliana Ivanova, said: “Thanks to this initiative, European organizations that perform, fund or support research have an excellent opportunity to receive co-funding for their new or existing programmes on training, career development and mobility of researchers. This will then highly benefit researchers' lifelong learning. I strongly encourage you to apply and attract talents worldwide to your institution, region or country.”
Selected projects will spread MSCA's best practices and foster high-quality training, supervision and career development of excellent researchers carrying out their research in a wide range of disciplines. They also allow funded researchers to enlarge their networks, share knowledge to carry out cutting-edge research and boost their creativity and entrepreneurship. Lifelong learning is among the priorities of the 2023 the European Year of Skills which will focus on helping people to get the right skills for quality jobs.
