Schulz to pay official visit to Iran

20120605_-schulz-_haxhinasto_084On Saturday (7 November) European Parliament President Martin Schulz will travel to Iran to intensify the dialogue between the EU and Iran. It marks the first visit to Iran of a President of an EU institution.

On Saturday morning President Schulz will meet the Speaker of the Parliament H.E. Dr. Ali Larijani followed by a joint press conference.

President Schulz will also meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Schulz will have a bilateral meeting with President H.E. Hassan Rohani at the Presidential Palace.

During his one-day visit, President Schulz will also meet with representatives of civil society.
