On 25 August, a delegation led by the ROC Ministry of Education, including seven university presidents and vice presidents, visited the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium.
To promote academic collaboration between KU Leuven and Taiwan, KU Leuven Vice-Rector Danny Pieters and Director-General Yang Min-Ling, of the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education in the Ministry, signed a MoU to establish the 'Taiwan KU Leuven scholarship programme’.
This programme, which is scheduled to start in autumn 2017, will annually provide a scholarship to five outstanding Taiwanese PhD students at KU Leuven.
