Europe 'must do more to tackle tax dodging'

Labour MEPs are pushing the European Commission to do more to tackle tax avoidance - a subject that has plagued Commisison President Jean-Claude Juncker - and to come forward with concrete legislation that will clamp down on this pernicious practice, following the publication of the Commission's Work Programme. Labour MEPs have a long history of fighting against tax evasion and aggressive tax avoidance - which costs EU countries €1 trillion a year - calling for tough action against tax-dodging multinationals and tax havens.
