Join us in Brussels from 3-5 June for EU Green Week, themed 'Circular solutions for a competitive EU'. This year, we will focus on how the EU can shift from traditional, linear production and consumption to more circular and sustainable models.
Event Highlights
June 3-4: Environment, Water Resilience, and a Competitive Circular Economy Commissioner Jessika Roswall will open the high-level discussions, sharing her vision for a circular economy that boosts EU competitiveness and economic security while conserving our natural resources.
June 5: A gathering of experts to discuss strategies for unlocking the circular economy’s full potential, aiming to make Europe more competitive and resource efficient.
EU Green Week 2025 is organized in partnership with the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and the European Circular Cities and Regions Initiative. It is part of an ongoing effort to enhance Europe’s competitiveness by embedding circular economy principles across all sectors.
Earlier this year, key initiatives such as the Competitiveness Compass and the Clean Industrial Deal provided guidance on how to make the most of the EU’s limited resources and reduce our dependence on third-country suppliers of raw materials, while reducing waste and extending the life of materials through recycling, reuse, and sustainable production.
In April, a stakeholder dialogue organised by the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform brought together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and civil society to set the circular economy priorities for 2024-2029. These discussions will inform the Circular Economy Act, set to be unveiled in 2026.
