Salah Abdeslam, one of the most wanted suspect terrorists of the Paris attacks, has today (18 March) been caught in Brussels - Abdeslam is a key suspect in last year's Paris attacks in which 130 people died. According to the police, Abdeslam was caught in the neighbourhood of Molenbeek, the quarter in Brussels where Abdeslam used to live with his family.

Following a raid today in Molenbeek, the police have caught three fugitives, all linked to the Paris attacks from November 2015, when Islamic terrorists killed 130 victims in Paris. According to reports, Abdeslam was taken alive but has been wounded by a bullet. This has not been officially confirmed.

Belgian PM Charles Michel had to urgently leave an EU-Turkey summit in Brussels.

Abdeslam, a French national born in Brussels, had lived in Molenbeek before the 13 November attacks.

He has been the subject of a massive manhunt since the attacks, claimed by militants from the so-called Islamic State group.
