#Kazakhstan universities take part in European projects: #Erasmus+ Projects Fair opened at Eurasian National University

The event was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office together with the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Council of Rectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.

The purpose of the event was to familiarize wider community with the results of Erasmus+ projects to enhance their multiplying effect. In total, the Programme has funded 40 projects involving 47 Kazakhstani universities for the last four years, with the total sum of the grant amounting to more than 35.5 million euro. The projects focus on higher education development, curricula modernization, improving the university governance. During the fair, project teams presented the results of their work, shared the developed materials with the visitors, and exchanged their experiences in managing international projects.

In parallel with the exhibition, on October 25-26, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office held information sessions for all who would like to participate in the programme actions in future. The speakers outlined opportunities for students and staff of Kazakh universities to participate in various Erasmus+ actions and explained the requirements of the Call for Proposals 2019. The participants learnt that apart from capacity building projects presented at the fair, the programme also funds university staff and student mobility projects, obtaining a master's degree in Europe, developing and delivering lectures about the European Union and other activities in the field of international cooperation.

Overall, about 500 people took part in the events.
