President David Sassoli will unveil the 2019 Lux Prize winner during an award ceremony today (27 November), in the presence of the three finalist films’ directors.

The finalists of this year’s competition are Cold Case Hammarskjöld by Mads Brügger (Denmark/Norway/Sweden/Belgium), God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya by Teona Mitevska (North Macedonia/Belgium/Slovenia/Croatia/France) and The Realm by Rodrigo Sorogoyen (Spain/France).

A press conference by EP Vice-President Klara Dobrev (S&D, HU) and Culture Committee Chair Sabine Verheyen (EPP, DE) with the directors of the three films is scheduled after the award ceremony, for 15h30.
