Executive Vice President Vestager, High Representative/Vice-President Borrell Fontelles and Commissioners Breton and Urpilainen attend #EuropeanSpaceConference

Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager, High Representative/Vice-PresidentJosep Borrell Fontelles as well as Commissioners Thierry Breton and Jutta Urpilainen will attend the European Space Conference on 21 and 22 January in Brussels.

This year's edition of the Conference looks into the following: 'New Decade, Global Ambitions: Growth, Climate, Security & Defence'. Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager will deliver a special address on grasping opportunities and building synergies in the European space sector.

High Representative/Vice President Josep Borrell Fontelles will deliver opening remarks at the welcome address together with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, David Clarinval, among others. The High Representative/Vice President will use this opportunity to highlight the strategic character of Space from a geopolitical perspective and the key role it plays for the EU.

Commissioner Thierry Breton will conclude the Conference by highlighting his priorities on space for the next five years. As for Commissioner Jutta Urpilainen, she will participate in a discussion entitled 'Towards a Space Partnership between Europe and Africa'.
