Mergers: Commission authorizes acquisition of Webhelp by Concentrix

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of Webhelp S.A.S., based in France, by Concentrix Corporation, based in the United States. The transaction mainly concerns IT services in which both companies are active, with emphasis on business process outsourcing (BPO) services, in particular BPO services relating to the management of customer experience (“CXM BPO”). The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the market and due to the number of competitors active in the markets where the companies are active. The transaction was examined under the normal merger control procedure.
