To celebrate EU Diversity Month 2025, we’ve prepared an insightful infographic that highlights key data on equality and inclusion in the EU

Did you know that: 

  • 1 in 7 people in the EU is foreign-born?  
  • there are 137 female students for every 100 male students in the EU, while in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics there are 50 female students per 100 male students? 
  • 1 in 5 people in the EU lives with a disability (limitation in usual activities due to health problems)?  
  • young women, foreign-born people and people with disabilities are more likely to be neither employed nor engaged in education or training?
