European Union and Singapore discuss reinforcing digital co-operation through Digital Partnership Council

The EU and Singapore have held their second Digital Partnership Council meeting in Brussels, reiterating their intention to cooperate across a range of digital areas from Artificial Intelligence (AI) to cybersecurity and beyond. Both sides reaffirmed their intention to enhance mutual competitiveness, foster innovation and shape digital rules and standards. 

The Digital Partnership Council, co-chaired by Executive Vice President of the European Commission for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy Henna Virkkunen (pictured) and Singapore's Minister for Digital Development and Information, Josephine Teo, welcomed the numerous active engagements and achievements of the Partnership, and aligned the priority areas for cooperation with the current landscape.

From reaffirming collaboration on AI safety and discussing future exchanges on AI language models to enhancing online safety through joint risk management and consumer protection.
