Apology
“On 17 January 2025, EU Reporter published an article referencing a London property that we claimed was secretly connected to Dr Akezhan Kazhegeldin, the former Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, through a complex web of companies and trusts. We alleged that Cone Marshall was involved in concealing the true ownership of that property on behalf of Dr Kazhegeldin.
As a result of documents supplied by Cone Marshall, EU Reporter accepts this is wrong and that the true position is that Dr Kazhegeldin was never a client of Cone Marshall and that Dr Kazhegeldin did not have any interest in the London property identified by EU Reporter.
EU Reporter unreservedly apologises to Geoffrey Cone, Cone Marshall and Dr Kazhegeldin and his family for alleging any form of wrongdoing or professional misconduct.”
