EU-Taiwan relations orientation meeting for EU-officials’ study trip to Taiwan
On 10 July, the Taipei Representative Office in the EU & Belgium organized an orientation meeting for the EU officials who will soon be leaving for Taiwan to take part in the ‘Taiwan Study Seminar’ or ‘Mandarin Training Programme’.
Around 30 people were present. The meeting started with a welcome remark by Deputy Representative Dr. Wang Wan-li, followed by a presentation, given by the Education Division. The meeting addressed issues such as ROC’s academic relations with Europe, funding opportunities for Benelux, and other education statistics.
The Mandarin Training programme and the Taiwan Study Seminar provide the participants with the opportunity to develop their Mandarin skills and improve their knowledge of Taiwan in general, through classes and extracurricular activities. Due to the growing interest of the participants and the faculty of the programs in recent years, both were expanded this year.
