 Parliament as a whole will vote at 11:30 on the setting-up of a special parliamentary committee to look into EU member states’ "tax rulings and other measures similar in nature or effect" and make recommendations for the future. The committee will have 45 members and is established for an initial period of six months.

Combating paedophilia on the Internet

The worrying rise of child sexual abuse on the Internet, notably growing demand, increasing violence and the use of social media for online grooming will be debated with the Commission at 9.00. A vote on a resolution is scheduled for March.

Humanitarian crisis in Syria and Iraq

A resolution on the grave humanitarian crisis in Syria and Iraq, in particular in the context of the so-called Islamic State, will be put to a vote at noon.

European Summit/Palestinian National Authority

 European Parliament President Martin Schulz will take part in the European Council meeting in Brussels in the afternoon, and will hold a press conference at around 14.00 (TBC; live here). President Schulz will also meet President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas later in the afternoon.
