TRO holds EEN networking reception
On 16 July, the Taipei Representative Office in the EU and Belgium hosted a reception in order to celebrate Taiwan’s accession to the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), and the success of the Mission for Growth to Taiwan, which was led by DG GROW Director General Daniel Calleja Crespo (pictured).
It was attended by more than 20 representatives from major EU enterprises and trade associations, such as EUROCHAMBER, Digital Europe and the European Services Forum. DG GROW Deputy Director-General Antti Ilmari Peltomaki said Calleja was impressed by Taiwan’s strength in innovation, and in particular expects to expand collaboration on fields like info-technology and green energy. Representative Kuoyu Tung of the TRO said there are many business opportunities lying ahead of the EU and Taiwan, and that he looks forward to the prospect of negotiations starting on a BIA between Taiwan and the EU.
