Commissioner Dombrovskis participates in Youth Dialogue in Brussels focusing on the Commission's economic priorities
Economy and Productivity Implementation and Simplification Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis (pictured) participated in his first annual Youth Policy Dialogue of the new mandate on Tuesday, 4 March, in Brussels.
The event provided 17 young Europeans from different countries a platform to ask questions, share ideas, and actively discuss the issues that matter most to them with Commissioner Dombrovskis. It focused on the economic priorities for the new European Commission mandate. It has given young people a chance to share their expectations and views on a range of important issues that impact Europe's future, including global challenges, building a more competitive Europe, investing in Europe's defence capacity, tackling climate change, and the next steps for the digital euro.
Youth Dialogues are part of the European Commission's commitment to mainstream the voice of young people in EU policymaking, as set out in the Political Guidelines for 2024-2029. These dialogues are important to ensure that the voice of young people is heard and helps shape the work of the Commission.
