A mini tornado struck the village of Bihucourt, near Calais in northern France on Sunday (23 October) as the country prepared for a stormy weather system after a spell with unseasonably warm weather.

YouTube footage and social media videos showed a black cloud that looked like a tornado rising above Bihucourt.

According to the Pas-de-Calais regional authority, one person was treated for minor injuries. The tornado caused severe damage to several homes and infrastructures in the region.
