Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski in Washington, DC to attend the Agricultural Outlook Forum

Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski (pictured) will be in Washington, DC until Friday, 24 February, to attend the USDA's annual Agricultural Outlook Forum, which gathers agriculture leaders and experts to discuss key issues impacting the sector, including: forecast for the agricultural economy, commodity markets, and trade in 2023, climate smart agriculture, supply chain challenges and solutions, factors impacting trade and the global marketplace, and food prices outlook.

He will also attend the Atlantic Council to discuss the impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine on global food security, as well as the EU's response to the global food crisis, the ongoing transatlantic cooperation in this area, and the EU support for Ukraine.

During his visit, Commissioner Wojciechowski will hold several bilateral meetings, including with Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, and Joe Swinnen, Managing Director of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). Finally, he will deliver a keynote speech at the Catholic University on creating local production capacity by small family farms.
